Fatal House Fire In Rhostryfan, Caernarfon

A man has died following a fire at a property in Rhostryfan, Caernarfon yesterday evening (Saturday, April 16). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Shortly after 7pm North Wales Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to a house fire after members of the public had forced entry and discovered the smoke-filled property. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Two fire appliances from Caernarfon attended, firefighters utilised breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze. North Wales Police and WAST were also in attendance. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Sadly, the body of a man and a pet dog were discovered in the ground floor bedroom of the property. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
