Cast Your Significant Vote In 2016
There are two elections and a referendum on the horizon – a poll to choose both your Assembly Members and Police and Crime Commissioner will be held on 5 May; and the European Union Referendum will be held on 23 June.
To vote on 5 May you will need to register to vote by 18 April.
Dilwyn Williams, Gwynedd Council’s Chief Executive and Electoral Registration Officer, said:
“I would urge everyone who hasn’t already done so to register to vote now, it only takes a few minutes, and once you have done so you can use your vote to influence the democratic process.
“Please bear in mind that you won’t be automatically registered to vote because you pay Council Tax.”
Remember, unless you have registered for a postal or proxy vote, you will need to go to your designated polling station to cast your vote on election day. The details will be printed on the polling card, which will be sent to you beforehand.

Polling station locations for some Gwynedd wards have changed this year:
Bangor – Menai Ward – the polling station is now Canolfan Penrallt (LL57 2EU)
Bangor – Deiniol Ward – the polling station is now Neuadd Penrhyn (LL57 1DT)
Tywyn – the polling station is now the Baptist Church (LL36 9AF)
Llandderfel, Glanrafon – the polling station is now Glanrafon Café (LL21 0HA)
