Gwynedd Business Week 2016 – Innovating Your Business For Future Success

Celebrating the fact that Gwynedd businesses are innovative and the strong foundation that sets for future success – that will be one of the key messages that will be highlighted during Gwynedd Business Week 2016. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Gwynedd’s main business event which showcases and promotes local business successes as well as providing a great opportunity for companies to come together to network and exchange ideas will take place between 16 and 20 May, and it’s set to be the highlight of the county’s business calendar again this year. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Sioned Williams, Gwynedd Council’s Head of Economy and Community said: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Since it was established in 2006, the Gwynedd Business Week has developed into a major event for companies across the county. We look forward to this special week, and the business events held across the county will be a chance to celebrate the achievements of the Gwynedd business community and to look forward to future opportunities. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Throughout the week, we will be staging a variety of events and workshops that will showcase the innovative work being carried out by Gwynedd companies in order to set a strong foundation for future successes. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The week will be based around a programme of various events to be held across Gwynedd in venues including Bangor, Pwllheli, Dolgellau and Caernarfon. Established or new start-up businesses will be welcomed at each event. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The Business Breakfast Launch Event will be held at Pontio, Bangor on Monday, 16 May where there will be an opportunity to network along with a tour of the new innovation centre. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The highlight of the week will be the Gwynedd Business Week Gala Dinner which will be held on Thursday, 19 May at The Management Centre, Bangor. As always, the event will be a chance for business leaders from all over Gwynedd to meet like-minded people, to share ideas and experiences. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

During the Dinner, Gwynedd Business Network will present an award to the person nominated as Gwynedd Business Person of the Year, and the Gwynedd branch of the Federation of Small Businesses will present an award to the Young Entrepreneur that has successfully established a business in the current year In addition Gwynedd Council will acknowledge the success of a local company which has positively contributed to Gwynedd’s economy. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
