Appeal Following Serious Collision On A496

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a serious road traffic collision on the A496 near Blaenau Ffestiniog. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Shortly after 7:30am police were informed of a road traffic collision at Rhyd y Sarn involving a Silver Honda Civic. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The emergency services were called to the scene and the male driver has since been airlifted by the Air Ambulance to hospital in Stoke with serious, life threatening injuries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The road between Maentwrog and Blaenau Ffestiniog remains closed whilst the investigation continues. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
