Appeal Re Incident In Bryniau Court Llandudno

Police are appealing for information following an incident in Bryniau Court Llandudno. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers were called to a domestic incident at around 10.15pm on Wednesday July 27 where a 24 year old local man was reported to be in possession of a knife. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

During a confrontation with officers a Taser was discharged and the man fell sustaining a head injury. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He was treated by officers and paramedics at the scene and taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Unfortunately his condition deteriorated during the night and he is currently being treated in hospital in Stoke. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

DCI Jason Devonport said; “We understand there were members of the public in Bryniau Court, off Bryniau Road, as officers attended the scene. I would appeal to any witnesses to the incident to call police on 101 quoting reference number U111039.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

North Wales Police have referred the incident to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
