Damage Caused To Penmaenmawr Cenotaph

An appeal for witnesses and information is being made after the Cenotaph is Penmaenmawr was recently damaged. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Sometime between 6pm on Monday 1st and 18:25pm on Tuesday 2nd August graffiti has been daubed on the Cenotaph situated on Conway Road. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

District Inspector Kelly Isaacs said: “The Cenotaph is dedicated to the memory of those people who paid the ultimate price for this country. This damage is both criminal and grossly offensive to the memory of those honoured on the Cenotaph. North Wales Police will take firm action against anyone who is involved in damage to our memorials.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
