Fatal Collision Near Mold: Update
The man who died following the road traffic collision near Mold on Monday, September 5th has been named as Lee Bennison. He was 33-years-old and came from the Leeswood area of Mold.
The following tribute has been released by his family:
“Lee was a talented furniture maker, who worked hard to support and look after his family.
“Tragically taken from us at such a young age, his whole family are devastated by the loss of Lee and life will never be the same without him.
“He was an incredibly proud and loving father to his baby boy Osian, who in Lee’s words was ‘his greatest achievement and the best thing that ever happened to him.’ Osian will miss his amazing Daddy and all the memories they should have shared.
“We thank everyone for their kind messages and appreciate our privacy being respected at this difficult time.”
Officers continue to appeal for witnesses to the collision which happened on the A541 and junction of the A5118 in Mynydd Isa involving a Ford Fiesta and a motorcycle.
The 45-year-old driver of the Fiesta was arrested after failing the roadside drugs swipe test and he has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
