Yesterday, Thursday 14th July, the official première of North Wales Police Rural Crime Team’s first educational film, ‘L•E•A•D’ (Livestock Education And Dogs), produced by SkyWebMedia / Fassen8 Productions to raise awareness of key countryside issues, in this case with the aim of reducing dog attacks on livestock by keeping dogs on a lead, was launched at the Scala Cinema in Prestatyn. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The film will also be shown to the wider general public at this year’s Royal Welsh Show and will be played in a continuous loop in a prominent position on the showground in Llanelwedd. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Sergeant Rob Taylor from the Rural Crime Team, who hosted a Q & A before the screening to almost 100 people who attended the event said “Yesterday’s launch was hugely successful and the reception was very positive and fully supportive of what we are together trying to achieve. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Our message is simple, please keep your dogs on a lead and under control as the consequences can be financially crippling to farmers and devastating to dog owners who may see their family pets destroyed. No one benefits when dogs are not kept under control, is just lose – lose!” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
