High Sheriff Goes Out On Patrol
The High Sheriff of Clwyd was given an insight into the work of the Prestatyn and Rhuddlan Safer Neighbourhood Team when he went on patrol at the weekend.
Sgt Mark Jones said: “We were honoured to have the High Sheriff of Clwyd, Jim O’Toole, on patrol with the team on Saturday night, 10th September.”
“During the visit he was able to see first-hand the work that the team do in making our communities safer. They attended a variety of incidents and he got to see the ‘behind-the-scenes’ of police work.”
Following his visit the High Sheriff said: “I was very pleased to be given an opportunity to visit the North Wales Police unit at Prestatyn and to meet with Sgt Jones and his team. Participating in the patrol provided me with a valuable insight into the crime prevention work being carried out, particularly where young people are involved.”
The visit also fitted in with the High Sheriff’s role sitting on the CrimeBeat and PACT funding panels, which directly contribute towards policing initiatives.
