Incident In Bryniau Road Llandudno

Police were called to a domestic incident in the Bryniau Road area of Llandudno at around 10.15pm last night (Wednesday July 27) where a 24 year old local man was reported to be in possession of a knife. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

During a confrontation with officers a Taser was discharged and the man fell sustaining a head injury. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

He was treated by officers and paramedics at the scene and taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Unfortunately his condition deteriorated during the night and he is currently being treated in hospital in Stoke. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

North Wales Police have voluntarily referred the incident to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
