MP Supports Prestatyn’s Local Policing Team

Parliamentary acknowledgement for the local policing team tackling antisocial behaviour in Prestatyn. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Dr James Davies, Vale of Clwyd MP said: “I would like to thank the Prestatyn Neighbourhood Policing Team for their continued support in fighting anti-social behaviour in Prestatyn and Meliden.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Many steps have been taken to tackle anti-social behaviour and to stop any issues before they escalate. This includes working with the schools, community groups, members of the public and businesses to identify issues and ensure solutions.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“The Police station has also been moved to the town centre to make it easier for officers and PCSO’s to regularly patrol the town.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Last week an antisocial behaviour meeting was held to decide on a collaborative solution to recent concerns brought to their attention by members of the public. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Dr Davies added: “Work is continually ongoing behind the scenes to ensure that Prestatyn is a safe place to live, work and visit and I would like to commend the officers and PCSO’s for all that they do. Clearly there have been a number of issues on the Morfas recently and I am looking to the Police to ensure that these are tackled effectively. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“I would encourage anyone with concerns to report incidents to their local police force.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
