Night Time Economy Training
People involved in the night time economy of Llandudno have been given an insight into the work of the police.
A multi-agency approach was used to provide training to people from an array of night time economy premises including licensees, SIA badge holders and night time eating establishments.
The subjects covered at the meeting in Llandudno Town Hall included domestic abuse, Child Sexual Exploitation, terrorism, the SIA, licensing as well as community safety presence.
Sgt Dave Cust explained: “It is vital for the safety of our community that night time economy partners work together to reduce crime and disorder.”
“Conwy County benefits from high levels of tourism and continues to see growth in licensed premises; it is important to North Wales Police and our partners that people can enjoy everything Conwy has to offer in safety.”
Councillor Philip Evans, Cabinet Member for Regulation said: “I’m pleased this training provides support to our local businesses and strengthens their commitment to public safety, prevention of crime and disorder, and protecting children from harm.”
“The team work and innovation from the night time economy partners is a vital part of Conwy’s work in helping to ensure that people in Conwy; business owners, residents and visitors, are safe and feel safe.“
