Night Time Economy Training

People involved in the night time economy of Llandudno have been given an insight into the work of the police. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A multi-agency approach was used to provide training to people from an array of night time economy premises including licensees, SIA badge holders and night time eating establishments. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The subjects covered at the meeting in Llandudno Town Hall included domestic abuse, Child Sexual Exploitation, terrorism, the SIA, licensing as well as community safety presence. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Sgt Dave Cust explained: “It is vital for the safety of our community that night time economy partners work together to reduce crime and disorder.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Conwy County benefits from high levels of tourism and continues to see growth in licensed premises; it is important to North Wales Police and our partners that people can enjoy everything Conwy has to offer in safety.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Councillor Philip Evans, Cabinet Member for Regulation said: “I’m pleased this training provides support to our local businesses and strengthens their commitment to public safety, prevention of crime and disorder, and protecting children from harm.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
