Police Community Support Officer Of The Year Award
The UNISON award for the Police Community Support Officer of the year has been presented to PCSO Chris Perkins, who has gone the extra mile for the community in which he serves
PCSO Perkins was nominated by his Llandudno colleague who said: “No matter where you go in the town, members of the community, young and old, approach you and say how highly they think of PCSO Chris Perkins.”
“Chris is always willing to listen to and help members of the public. This has been witnessed first-hand whilst out on the beat; he has an infections sense of humour and a great communication style.”
Recently Chris has taken up the challenge of helping set up and run the Police Cadets in the Llandudno area. He always gives 100% and is willing to assist colleagues if he sees them struggling with anything.
Chris has also had a positive impact on the West Conwy Facebook page and strives to keep the community up to date with on-going events in Llandudno town.
“Chris has certainly brought his police experience across into his PCSO role, and he has been described as by far the hardest working PCSO his colleagues have come across.”
PCSO Perkins was presented by Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner Ann Griffiths at the award ceremony held at the Kinmel in Abergele.
