Officers were alerted to the collision on Russell Road at 4.49pm today (Thursday, July 14). Sergeant Jason Diamond of the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident. As part of this work we are particularly keen to trace the drivers and any occupants of two vehicles that were travelling along Russell Road at around 4.47pm – the time the collision occurred. One of the vehicles is a small silver coloured car and the other is a white coloured Vauxhall Vivaro van which had ladders on its roof and the letters ‘CP’ on the side and rear doors. We would like to trace the drivers as it is possible that they may have witnessed the collision or have information that could assist us with our inquiries.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

He added: “Anyone who was in the vicinity at the time or who has information is urged to contact officers at the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference number U103375.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
