Serious Collision In Rhos-On-Sea: Appeal
An elderly man has sustained serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Rhos-on-Sea earlier this afternoon (Tuesday, September 6th).
Shortly after 1pm North Wales Police received a report by the Ambulance Service of a two-vehicle collision on Llandudno Road involving a Nissan Almera car and an Arriva bus.
The driver of the car was cut free and taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance with serious injuries.
Officers believe a number of passengers were on board the bus at the time and that many left the scene prior to giving police their details, and are appealing for them to make contact.
Sergeant Gwyndaf Jones from the Roads Policing Unit said: “We are appealing to anybody who may have been on the bus at the time of the collision to get in touch. We are also issuing an appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the collision to contact us to assist us with the investigation.”
The road is expected to re-open in the next 30 minutes.
