Three Sentenced For Drugs Offences In West Conwy
Three men from the West Conwy area were sentenced last week for drugs related offences
Carl Ian Hughes, 41, was jailed for three and a half years after he was convicted of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.
19-year-old Shane Robert Paton was given a four year custodial sentence while 23-year-old Conor Andrew Williams received a 21 month suspended sentence after a large quantity of Class A and Class B drugs were seized.
The men were arrested after separate warrants were conducted earlier this year, under the misuse of drugs act, at addresses in Llandudno and Glan Conwy.
District Inspector Kelly Isaacs said: “These warrants were executed as a result of information received from the public. It is vitally important we listen to concerns from our local communities and take positive action.”
“Drugs cause untold damage and devastation to people’s lives and to their families. I hope these results send out a clear message that we will not tolerate the actions of anyone who chooses to be involved in this type of criminality.”
