Two Cats Were Poisoned In Rhyl Last Week

Police are appealing for information after two cats were poisoned in Rhyl last week. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The first incident happened on the afternoon of Sunday 13th November, when a woman found her cat collapsed at her home address in Kingsley Avenue, Rhyl. The cat was treated by the vet and thankfully survived. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The second incident happened a short time later at a neighbouring address, but sadly that cat died ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

PCSO Sophie McLellan said: “The vet confirmed that both cats had been poisoned. We are currently conducting enquiries in the area and are keen to hear from anyone who may have information relating to these incidents.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Anyone who may have any knowledge of the cats being poisoned is asked to contact PCSO McLellan at Rhyl Police Station on 101. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
