Man Charged Following Collision With On Duty Officer

The Caerphilly man arrested on Wednesday 22nd June after colliding with an on duty Police Officer has now been charged. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The 41 year old man has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. He has been remanded to appear at Newport Magistrates Court this morning. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The man was riding an off road bike when the incident occurred on Commercial Street, Senghenydd. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Fortunately the officer sustained minor injuries only and did not require hospital treatment. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
