UPDATE: Body Found In River Wye Identity Confirmed

On Sunday 8th January 2017, a body of a man was found in the River Wye near to Broadrock in Chepstow at approximately 10:40am. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Formal identification has taken place which confirmed the body is that of 46 year old Liam Stubbs from the Monmouth area who was reported missing on Saturday 20th November 2016. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

We have notified the family of Liam Stubbs, and specialist officers are providing support. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Officers are not treating the death as suspicious at this time. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
