Warning To Tredegar Residents After Thieves Target The Area
Gwent Police are warning residents to keep a closer eye on their property and report any suspicious activity immediately after a spike in reported incidents throughout the Tredegar area overnight (Friday 13th – Saturday 14th May 2016)
Three vehicles were broken into on Merthyr Road, Tredegar. Items stolen include: sunglasses, clothes and CDs.
Tredegar PC, Ceri McDermott says: “We’re currently investigating each reported crime and asking residents to always secure their property.
“Extra patrols have now been put in place by uniformed and plain clothed officers.
“I also want remind people not to leave valuable items on view in their cars – and always look the doors.
“Please report any suspicious activity immediately by calling Gwent Police on 101 quoting log 285 14/05/16 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
