Easter’s on its way and if you’re planning to enjoy some delicious meals over the Bank Holiday weekend with friends and family, then don’t miss the Good Friday Farmers Market at Haverfordwest. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The market will be full of local produce perfect for your Easter celebrations, from organic lamb and beef joints to turkey, hand-made sausages, freshly-picked vegetables, and much more. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

If you fancy packing up a picnic, then look out for the range of home-made breads, charcuterie, award-winning farmhouse cheeses, fresh salads, and local ales. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

And to round off such a feast, there are a variety of home-made treats from Simnel cakes to hot-cross buns and Easter cupcakes. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The market will be plenty of fun for children with face-painting, balloon-modelling, games and a fun Easter quiz – plus the chance to win a chocolate egg in an Easter-egg hunt around the different stalls. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

There will also be the chance to buy some beautiful locally-grown daffodils and spring plants to brighten up your home ready for Easter. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Joe Welch, food officer for Pembrokeshire County Council and market manager, said the Good Friday market was one of the highlights of the year, and would be packed with fun for families. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“Children will all have the chance to win an Easter egg and take a balloon model home, as well as have fun in the various activities around the stalls,” she said. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
