Leaking Stop Tap Renwal Forces Temporary Closure of Two Llantrisant Streets
Two streets in Llantrisant are set to close temporarily so a leaking stop tap can be renewed.
Swan Street will close from its junction with Heol Las to its junction with Heol-y-Sarn for a distance of approximately 188 metres and Yr Allt will close from its junction with Swan Street to its junction with George Street, a distance of approximately 26 metres.
The closures will be in place from August 18 until August 20.
The closure is needed to allow works to take place to renew a leaking stop tap.
For vehicles travelling from the western side of the Swan Street closure point, an alternative route is available via Heol Las, the access road off A4119, A4119 and Heol-y-Sarn.
For vehicles travelling in the opposite direction, an alternative route is the reverse of these directions.
For vehicles travelling from the southern side of the Yr Allt closure point, an alternative route is available via George Street, Heol-y-Sarn, A4119, the access road off A4119 and Heol Las
Access will be maintained for pedestrians and to premises but not for emergency services.
