TRAC2 Get A Welcoming Funding Boost From Santander
A Trevethin based charity has received a welcome Christmas present with the news it has been awarded £5000 from the Santander Community Fund.
TRAC 2 provides low cost services to people throughout the borough, offering a huge range of affordable products including ornaments, crockery and kitchen ware, furniture, recycled clothing and children’s toys.
The charity was supported in its funding application by Torfaen Communities First, and the money will be used to assist its charitable work across Torfaen.
Santander’s business development manager, Kate Hancock, said: “TRAC2 do so much good work across the whole county borough that it’s a pleasure to award this money knowing that it will be utilised for the benefit of local people.
“Sue, Dawn, Hannah, Rebecca and all the volunteers at the shop and the resource centre work so hard and Torfaen is fortunate indeed to have an organisation such as this working for individuals and families in need.”
TRAC 2 works with Bron Afon, Communities First, the Trussell Trust, Grwp Gwalia, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind, Age Connect Torfaen, Torfaen Voluntary Alliance and Torfaen council.
