Fashion Students Put Their Skills On Show

UNIVERSITY of South Wales (USW) fashion students are displaying their skills at a showcase event in Cardiff this Friday. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Running between 7pm and 11pm at the Tramshed, on Clare Road, Grangetown, the Graduate Fashion Event is the culmination of months of work by undergraduates on the Fashion Design, Fashion Promotion and BA Fashion Retail and Marketing courses. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The show will feature a 2D and 3D exhibition,garment displays, fashion shows, film and digital work, fashion photography and performance pieces. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“This is an exciting and ambitious project which combines together the talent and skills of all University of South Wales Fashion-based subject areas for the first time,” said Claire Ritchie, who is BA Fashion Promotion Course Leader and Senior Lecturer in MA Fashion Retail. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
