Introducing Cardiff’s first pop-up fashion festival

Third year Fashion Marketing and Retail Design student Aimee Broad has combined her passion for fashion and events to create RETROFEST, Cardiff’s first pop-up fashion festival.
Combining some of the best Cardiff based independent retailers under one roof, RETROFEST has secured brands including Rock-Ola Reborn, Eagle Eye Vintage, Daisy’s Dressing Up Box, Amy laura smith clothing, WAKIKI and Dizzy Pineapple.
“The majority of pop up events that retail vintage clothing usually have a classic aesthetic, but RETROFEST will combine a current feel while offering both classic and niche clothing and accessories”, says Aimee.
“As part of my final major project, a module where you effectively write your own brief, I have combined my love for fashion and events. To make the brief more innovative I decided incorporate a ‘festival’ atmosphere.
All retailers are independent and Cardiff based, even the venue. Cardiff has a great selection of independent fashion retailers and it was my vision to combine them all under one roof, we’ve also got some great DJ’s playing.
RETROFEST will bring something fresh and new to Cardiff and I’m excited to be hosting it!”
