USW were joint winners of the award – the third time that the University has won it since 2010. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The awards were held in London last night (Tuesday 23 February) and recognise outstanding students, tuition providers and professional accountancy bodies. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The Professional Accountancy Tuition Hub is part of USW’s School of Law, Accounting and Finance and focusses on delivering professional accountancy qualifications. This includes the ACA Qualification (from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) and ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

They are an ICAEW Partner in Learning, an ACCA Platinum Approved Learning Partner and a CIMA Global Learning Premium Partner, in recognition of excellent pass rates and the pastoral support provided for students. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

They have over 40 years’ experience of teaching ACCA and CIMA; the ACA course was added to the professional portfolio in 2012. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Dr Jared Davies, Academic Manager for Accounting & Finance at USW, said: “This award highlights the continued excellence of our professional accountancy tuition and the hard work of our tuition team, who provide outstanding support to our students. This has been a very successful year for us; we have significantly expanded our tuition and we now offer tuition for ACCA and ACA qualifications at both our Newport City and Cardiff Campus sites, as well as continuing to offer CIMA tuition at Newport.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

PQ Magazine is aimed at trainee professional accountants. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
