The University of South Wales (USW) has been ranked eighth in the WhatUni list of top universities across the UK. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The WhatUni list is voted for entirely by current students. Students give their university an overall rating of one to five. WhatUni average those results to create overall ratings (out of five stars) for each university across ten categories of student experiences. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Existing students also write a review of their university experience which helps future students find the right university for them. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The University also ranked highly in a number of other categories, including: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

  • Course and lecturers – 4th in the UK
  • Student support – 6th in the UK
  • Accommodation – 7th in the UK
  • Uni Facilities – 8th in the UK
  • International – 12th in the UK
  • Job Prospects – 14th in the UK

Ben Calvert, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Learning, Teaching and Student Experience said: “It is really pleasing to see that the University of South Wales has been voted eighth in the WhatUni list of top universities across the UK. What makes this particularly pleasing is that it was voted for by our students.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

USW was also shortlisted in five categories in last night’s WhatUni’s awards: ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

  • University of the Year
  • Uni facilities
  • Accommodation
  • Course and lecturers
  • Student support
