USW Student Pops The Question As He Gets His Degree

HERE’s the couple who have become an internet sensation after a graduation ceremony proposal at the University of South Wales (USW). ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Redmond Jenkins, 29, stopped on stage as he received his degree in civil engineering earlier this week, and asked long-term girlfriend Kelly Jones, 25, to marry him. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

To his relief, and the hundreds also attending the ceremony at USW’s Treforest campus, Kelly said ‘yes’. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“I was expecting it, but not at that point,” said the delighted bride-to-be. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“I was speechless, totally taken aback and I couldn’t believe it. I love him to pieces.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

And Kelly said the couple, from Tonyrefail who have two sons, Macsen Rees, four, and Dylan Rees, two, are already planning their wedding. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
