Pembrokeshire Museum Opens Doors In Aid Of WAA
A Pembrokeshire museum has raised a lifesaving donation for Wales Air Ambulance, after opening its doors in aid of the Welsh helicopter charity.
The Museum of Scrimpinology, Llangwm, displays a carefully curated collection of memorabilia over the last century.
The Pembrokeshire museum specialises in collecting household items, tools, games and everyday objects to provoke happy childhood memories.
Jeff James, the creator of The Museum of Scrimpinology, opened the doors to the exhibits in the end of May in aid of Wales Air Ambulance; helping the charity to raise the £6 million needed every year to fund its services.
The museum raised £1,256 for Wales Air Ambulance by selling ice creams and collecting kind donations for the community.
Tony Key, Wales Air Ambulance Community Coordinator, said: “As a charity, Wales Air Ambulance relies on kind donations to keep our helicopters flying over Wales.
“Without the kind support of the people of Wales, we wouldn’t be able to fund our lifesaving missions.
“We would like to thank the fantastic Museum of Scrimpinology for their kind support and for raising such an outstanding donation for us!”
