Cat Found With Pellet Wound Dies
RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a cat died after being shot by an air rifle or air gun.
On 28 May, Marley returned to his St Andrews Close home in Pontrhydyrun, Cwmbran very unwell. Sadly within minutes the black and white two-year-old cat died leaving his owners devastated.
The incident – which is a suspected air rifle or pellet gun attack – is believed to have happened between 8pm and 9pm.
RSPCA inspector Selina Chan said: “This is a terribly sad incident. A puncture wound was discovered on his left side caused by an air rifle or pellet gun. The pellet went straight through his chest and is likely to have killed poor Marley.
“We don’t know who could have done this, so we are appealing for information.
