A-Level Results Show Overall Performance Across Conwy County Borough
Today’s A-level results show overall performance across Conwy County Borough has increased and is above the average for Wales.
In Conwy’s schools, 74.2% had A* to C grades, up from 72.2% in 2015. This is above the all-Wales average of 73.8%.
The overall pass rate this year (A* to E grades) is 97.7%, which is also above the all-Wales average of 97.3%.
Cllr Wyn Jones, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Education said “It is heartening to see another excellent set of A-level results. I’m delighted that the hard work of Conwy’s young people, with the support of their teachers and families, has paid off. They should feel justifiably proud of what they have achieved.”
Interim Head of Education Services, Dr Lowri Brown said, “We also acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our students in other examinations, including AS examinations, vocational courses and the Welsh Baccalaureate. We’d like to congratulate all our students and wish them all the very best as they move on to university, training and employment.”
