Bridge Repairs At Afon Dyffryn Gall, Llangernyw

Work to repair the bridge at Afon Dyffryn Gall, Llangernyw will start next week. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The bridge was damaged by storms last winter. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Piling work will be carried out to form a cofferdam, so that the foundations of the bridge can be replaced; then repairs on the bridge can be carried out so that it can be re-opened as soon as possible. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The repair work starts on Monday, 3rd October, and is expected to take approximately 12 weeks. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The contractor for the project is Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
