Bryan Adams Performing In Eirias – 9 July 2017
Conwy County Borough Council are pleased with the recent announcement of Bryan Adams performing in Eirias next July, in delivering the Events Strategy and in response to residents desire for live music to continue being an annual event in Eirias.
As well as entertaining, the international artists have also proven to be an economic benefit, the Lionel Richie concert in Eirias earlier this year produced a return on investment of £4.50 for every £1 spent, proving events are crucially important to the economy of Conwy County.
Cllr Graham Rees, Conwy County Borough Council’s Cabinet Member for Tourism, Marketing & Leisure said, “We’re thrilled and very excited to once again have an international artist in Eirias next year. Not only does a name such as Bryan Adams put Colwyn Bay on the map, it also contributes to the economic benefit of North Wales. The value of Lionel Richie performing in Eirias earlier this year was £345,000, broken down as £115k in accommodation, £140k in food, drink and shopping, and £90k spent by the promoter within the local economy, proving events are crucially important to the economy of Conwy County. We know there will be lots of enthusiasm shown by people of all ages for this concert and we can’t wait to offer Bryan Adams a warm Welsh welcome”
Tickets will be on sale on Friday 2 December for rock legend and Grammy Award winner Bryan Adams’ live show in Eirias, Sunday 9 July 2017. Multi-platinum recording artist Bryan last year released his 13th studio album, Get Up, produced by ELO frontman Jeff Lynne, featuring a solid collection of beautifully-crafted rock songs such as Brand New Day, You Belong To Me, and Thunderbolt, plus gentler songs such as Don’t Even Try, and We Did It All – every one highlighting Adams’ unique voice and depth. The Canadian boasts an incredible catalogue of work, including some of his best known songs Run to You, Summer of ’69, the incredibly successful (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, Heaven, All for Love, and Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?
