Conwy Library Holds Event For ‘Explore Your Archive’ Week
Conwy County Borough Council’s Archive Service is marking ‘Explore your Archive’ week with a special event at Conwy Library on 25 November.
Staff from the Archive Service will be taking along their new ‘story boxes’ packed with materials from their collections. The boxes tell tales of local people from the Victorian and Edwardian era who had a brush with the local courts, whether as victim or defendant – like Thomas John Roberts, the young boy from Betws-y-Coed who stole guinea pigs.
There’ll be Victorian toys for children to play with and Victorian dressing-up costumes.
There’s also the chance to chat to staff from the Archive Service about how they can help with family history research or a local history enquiry.
The event takes place from 2.00pm-5.00pm.
