New Council Offices Update – One-Way Traffic System Introduced
A one-way traffic system has been introduced around the site.
Demolition work started last month (December) and is scheduled to take about 12-16 weeks in total.
To allow the site clearance to progress safely, a one-way traffic system has been introduced around the site on Coed Pella Road and Lansdowne Road, which will be extended to Queens Drive.
Construction of the new offices and car park is scheduled to start during Spring 2017, with completion expected in Autumn 2018.
Cllr Dilwyn Roberts, Leader of Conwy County Borough Council, said: “It’s good to see the demolition progressing well and I’m looking forward to seeing the construction work start on site. This new office building will help to streamline our office accommodation, and it’s also a key part of our vision to revitalise Colwyn Bay town centre – bringing people into the heart of a town brings vitality, footfall and spend.”
