New Council Offices Update – One-Way Traffic System Introduced

A one-way traffic system has been introduced around the site. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Demolition work started last month (December) and is scheduled to take about 12-16 weeks in total. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

To allow the site clearance to progress safely, a one-way traffic system has been introduced around the site on Coed Pella Road and Lansdowne Road, which will be extended to Queens Drive. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Construction of the new offices and car park is scheduled to start during Spring 2017, with completion expected in Autumn 2018. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr Dilwyn Roberts, Leader of Conwy County Borough Council, said: “It’s good to see the demolition progressing well and I’m looking forward to seeing the construction work start on site.
