Rent Smart Wales Drop In Sessions

This article is old - Published: Tuesday, Nov 15th, 2016

Conwy County Borough Council is holding a series of ‘drop-in’ sessions across the county for landlords and agents to find out about Rent Smart Wales. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

From 23rd November 2016 the law will require all landlords in Wales to be registered through the Rent Smart Wales scheme. Any agents and self-managing landlords will also have to be licenced from this date. If you own or manage a house in Wales, occupied by someone other than yourself in return for a rent, this new law will almost certainly apply to you. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

The drop in sessions will be held throughout November and early December and will give landlords, agents and tenants the opportunity to speak to council staff face to face about the new requirements of registration and licensing. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
