“As a Council, we are committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of all our staff members. Gwynedd Council operates a zero tolerance approach to any cases of physical or verbal abuse of staff and we encourage our staff members to record all instances of verbal or physical attacks.”
Carys Fon Williams, Gwynedd Council Private Sector Housing Manager added:
“This was a very serious incident and I am pleased that the Magistrates set a clear message that assaulting Council staff is totally unacceptable. I hope that this case provides a clear message that any incident of abuse against Council staff who are carrying out their duties for the public will not be tolerated and that the authority will take steps to prosecute in such instances.”
