Sometime overnight between Sunday 8th and Monday 9th May a static caravan in the car park of the Liver Inn in Rhydtalog was broken into as was the Liver Inn itself which is currently undergoing renovation. A shed on an adjacent property was also discovered to have been forced open whilst three other sheds on another property in the village were entered sometime between 1.00pm and 4.30pm on the afternoon of Monday 9th May however nothing was stolen from any of the sheds. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

Investigating Officer PC Gill Lehrle at Mold Police Station is eager to hear from anyone who saw any suspicious behaviour or activity. She added “Initial enquiries suggest all the incidents are connected and I’m particularly keen to identify the occupants of an older style grey Vauxhall Astra car with additional ‘skirts’ and a noisy exhaust that was seen in the village a few days before . Tools, baby clothes and a brand new Hotpoint tumble drier were stolen from the caravan so if you the whereabouts of these items please let us know. This type of crime is not common in the area and we’ll be doing all we can to identify and arrest those responsible. However it must also be emphasised that we need assistance from our local communities to both reduce incidents of this nature in the first place and identify those responsible.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

“It is worth reminding all house holders to be vigilant at all times, always ensure your property is locked and secured and if you see any suspicious behaviour contact police immediately.” ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌

North Wales Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed events to contact them on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote RM16007839. ‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌
