Rhyl murder: Two arrested

Two people are in police custody in connection with the ongoing murder investigation in Rhyl. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Liam Hill, and a 41-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both are local to the Rhyl area. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Police continue to appeal for information following the discovery of Mr Hill’s body in his flat on West Parade shortly before 2pm on Friday 8th January. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

T/Supt Mark Chesters who is leading the investigation said: “I am certain the key to this investigation lies within the local community and I continue to appeal to anybody who may have information that could assist our investigation to come forward.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
