Dog Foulers Caught – Don’t Be Foul – Pick Up The Poo

Four dog fouling tickets have been issued in one day recently reinforcing the Council’s message to Pick up the Poo or you will be fined! ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Kingdom enforcement officers issued the fines in Ponciau, Llay, Hermitage and Grosvenor. A fine was also issued for a breach of a Dog Exclusion area in Bradley. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The fine follows close on the heels of news that 8 dog foulers were caught and fined during December and that Kingdom Officers would be patrolling out of hours in all areas in order to catch offenders. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport said: ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

“Dog foulers should now be very aware that allowing their dog to foul and not picking up after it is something we have a no nonsense, zero approach to. Our message is very clear, Don’t be Foul, Pick up the Poo or you will be fined. Dog fouling is an issue residents are continually telling us is a problem and want eliminated.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Residents concerned about dog fouling in their area are asked to email contact-us@wrexham.gov.uk stating the location and time of day, if known, the dog fouling was taking place. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
