Streetscene Are Looking For New Employees

Wrexham Council’s Streetscene Section of the Environment and Planning Department are recruiting new employees and will be holding a Jobs Fayre in the Memorial Hall on 13 July between 2 and 6 pm. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Representatives from the Department will be on hand to talk to anyone interested in these roles. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Streetscene employees undertake a variety of duties including refuse/recycling collection, street cleaning, grass cutting and highway maintenance. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

No formal qualifications are required although previous experience in a maintenance organisation or experience in a civil engineering/grounds maintenance/waste management/crematorium or cemetery maintenance would be helpful. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The closing date for applications is 15 July. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Job descriptions and application forms will be available on the day and interviews will also take place at the Fayre. Alternatively candidates may apply online via www.wrexham.gov.uk from 24 June. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
