Warm Welcome Is A Sign Of The Times At Maesteg Market
The outside of Maesteg Market has been given a makeover to help provide an even warmer welcome for shoppers.
Brand new signage has been added at each entrance to the historic listed building while the windows on the ground floor have been decorated with new graphic panels.
The new additions were unveiled at the market last week by the Mayor of Bridgend County Borough, Councillor Reg Jenkins and Council Leader Mel Nott OBE, who said: “For more than a century, Maesteg Market has brought the local community together at the heart of this fantastic town, and it’s a pleasure to usher in another exciting chapter in the market’s history.
“The new signage looks really striking while great care and consideration has been applied to the design of each window to create an appearance that is very much in keeping with the building’s character and past.
Bridgend County Borough Council has provided £25,000 to fund the improvements and worked with Cardiff firm Genesis Marketing and Events Limited on the project.
