Aberbargoed Nature Reserve Summer Events

Aberbargoed Grassland National Nature Reserve has organised two summer events for children to escape to the outdoors and learn some survival skills. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Bushcraft Day will be held on Wednesday 17th August where children ages 10 and above can learn the art of fire lighting and how to cook on an open flame. Please bring your own food if your child would like to cook on the fire. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

On Wednesday 24th August, children can enjoy Shelter Building at the Nature Reserve using only natural materials found there. The simple shelter building session is aimed for children aged 6 years and over. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Both events will begin at 10am and finish at 3pm with a charge of £3 per child. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
