Volunteers Recognised By Sport Caerphilly

The Sport Caerphilly Sport Awards were hosted on Tuesday 24 January, where volunteers from throughout the county borough were recognised. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Sport volunteers throughout Caerphilly county borough gathered at Bryn Meadows Golf Club in Maesycwmmer, where awards were achieved by dedicated volunteers in 5 award categories: – ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

  • Young Volunteer of the Year – Chloe Price
  • Volunteer of the Year – Jane McCann
  • Arriva Trains Wales Inclusive Coach of the Year – Tyler Price
  • Coaching Cymru Community Coach of the Year – Sarah Llewellyn
  • Club of the Year – Bedwas Gymnastics Club

Six highly committed volunteers were also entered into the ‘Lifetime to Sport in Caerphilly Hall of Fame’. This recognises each of the volunteer’s the great enthusiasm, dedication and commitment to sport within their community over a prolonged period of time. Those entered into the Hall of Fame were: – ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
