Residents Don Tiaras For Queen’s Birthday

Union Jacks, tiaras and lots of treats enabled 32 residents at Carmarthenshire Council’s Y Bwythyn home on Bigyn, Llanelli, join in the celebrations of the Queen’s 90th birthday. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Ivor the Driver provided musical entertainment and got the party in the swing with residents and staff joining in all the old songs. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Home manager Heike Clarke said: “We always celebrate special occasions and the residents love joining in. The residents here are big fans of the royals so the Queen’s 90th birthday was a big day for them too.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
