Update: Incident On Nelson Road, Ystrad Mynach, Near To Ystrad Mynach Train Station

At approximately 5.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 3rd May 2016), Gwent Police responded to a call for assistance from the South Wales Ambulance Service, to an address in Nelson Road, Ystrad Mynach, near to Ystrad Mynach Train Station. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

On arrival, the body of a 75 year woman was discovered, her death is currently being treated as suspicious. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

A 47 year old, local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder and is currently receiving hospital treatment for minor injuries. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The family of the deceased are being supported by specialist officers. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
