Velothon Wales – Sunday 22nd May 2016

The Velothon is coming to Gwent this Sunday and in order to ensure the route is safe for the 18,000 participants, extensive road closures are being implemented. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

The organisers have been working hard to minimise disruption as much as possible and improve upon the 2015 event. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Over 100,000 residents received letters in February 2016 detailing the route and an additional letter in April 2016 detailing the precise road closure timings. This letter can be seen below. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
