Drop-In Funding Advice For Merthyr Tydfil Businesses In Need Of A Helping Hand
Fledgling Merthyr Tydfil businesses in need of some help to spread their wings are being invited to a drop-in surgery to hear about the funding options available to them.
Micro loans of up to £50,000 are available from Finance Wales, with a range of advice and other support from Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council. Representatives of both organisations will be at the free session taking placeat the MTEC Centre in High Street from 10am-3pm on Friday, February, 10.
“We’re dedicated to ensuring that the businesses we work with secure the funding they need to help with start-up costs or to support growth,” said Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council Leader Cllr Brendan Toomey.
“There may be entrepreneurs out there who are unaware that working together, Finance Wales and the Council can also provide funding for expansion, to purchase new equipment or even to buy a business.”
Recently released Office of National Statistics figures revealed Merthyr Tydfil to be the business start-ups capital of Wales.
“We’re keen to preserve and build-on that reputation by making sure that anyone with a sound business idea doesn’t have any financial and/or knowledge barriers to their success,” Councillor Toomey added.
Specific 30-minute time slots will be allocated to each applicant. Please email rhiannon.brewer@financewales.co.uk or telephone her on 02920 338140 to book a place.
