Informal Council Event To Offer Advice On Provision For Children With Disabilities

Monmouthshire County Council will hold an informal community event on Wednesday 15th February in Usk’s Memorial Hall to provide information on its provision for children with disabilities. Residents are invited to drop in any time between 10am and 2pm. There will be no need to book an appointment. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Staff from a range of the council’s services and health professionals will be present to answer questions and share information. While individual appointments will not be available on the day, opportunities will exist to arrange meetings if required. ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​

Monmouthshire’s cabinet member for social care, safeguarding & health, Councillor Geoff Burrows said: “We extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to find out more about what is on offer to children with disabilities as well as their parents and carers. This will be an informal event designed to allow people to chat with the relevant staff on subjects like benefits advice, disability sports, short break opportunities, foster care and much more.” ‌​‌​‌​​​‍‌​‌​​‌‌‌‍‌​‌‌​​‌​‍‌​‌‌‌​‌‌‍‌​‌‌‌‌​​
