Plans submitted for development of two new industrial blocks near Neath by local council.
Plans to develop two new industrial blocks near Neath have been handed in to the local council.
The proposals which were submitted in March could eventually see the creation of the new employment units on land situated just off Neath Abbey Road.
The plans say the two blocks would each contain four industrial units along with vehicle parking spaces, acoustic fences, and barrier planting if given the go-ahead by council bosses
The site comprises land adjacent to the former CSN Engineering premises as well as previously-developed brownfield land located off Abbey Road, Neath.
It is also close to a new Aldi food store.
The plans read: “The proposal seeks to construct two industrial blocks (each including four units), associated parking bays outside the industrial blocks, and boundary treatment on the land adjacent to the existing CSN Engineering Building, Abbey Road, Neath.”
They add: “The proposed industrial blocks will be constructed and finished with functional, high-quality, and durable materials.
“The units will reflect the existing character of the surrounding context with the area being predominantly industrial.”
The application was handed in to the local council by Asbri Planning Ltd in March and will now be considered by the planning department for a decision in the coming months.
